Hopping Friday

It's Friday! Which means it's time to visit and discover new blogs and their bloggers. Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy For Books.

This weeks question: "When you read a book that you just can't get into, do you stick it out and keep reading or do you move onto the next title?"

There was a great post about this very topic over at Greenbeanteenqueen. I try and stick with reading it I usually give it at least 100 pages-sometimes more. I feel guilty when I put a book down, but sometimes it's just not right for me.

Parajunkee's View hosts The Friday Follow. The question this week is "What is your reading suggestion this week?"

This is a tough one, I'm way behind in reading my to-read-pile, just steadily watching it grow. Here's a picture book that I discovered this week. I love the twist in the story and the illustrations are lovely. I believe that you're never too old to enjoy a picture book and I can't wait to use this one at Story time.

Children Make Terrible Pets by Peter Brown.

  3. That book looks really cute. I'm going to have to check that out. Oh, and I work with Sarah at Greenbeanteenqueen. She's wonderful with her reviews and is always very honest. I consider her literally the queen of YA. If I need a recommendation I'll go to her. She is actually the person I am most nervous about reading my book.

  5. Just hoppin’ on by <3

I usually stick books out, even if it annoys me like crazy. I like giving fair chances to books, and I feel incomplete if I don’t finish it. I’ve even stuck it through an entire series I absolutely hated. Maybe it’s just me being weird.

  6. Just hoppin' on by to say "Hi!"
I will stick with it and finish a book even if I don't like it. And if it's part of a series I will finish that too. I feel like I'm going to miss something incredible if I don't. LoL
    Happy reading this weekend!

  9. Happy Follow Friday!!! Hope you will stop by my blog too! My publisher and I are looking for a group of bloggers for a huge blog tour next year before the release of book two in my 'A Sense of Truth' series! We will be giving out a few more copies of The Thirteenth Chime (we can only give out so many, being open to e-books gives an upper hand) and are still open to all interviews and guest posts. We want to fill up the Amazon page with reviews and try to reach as many people as we can!!! Hope you might consider being a part of the team! Thank you either way!

    Sincerely,

  10. You're a more patient reader than I am - I give a book about 50 pages, if I'm feeling generous :) My TBR mountain chain is too huge to waste time on books I don't like.

Glad to have found you via the Hop. Have a fabulous weekend!

  11. I try to give a book 100 pages too. Thankfully I don't have to abandon books often because I choose what I read carefully.

Found you on the hop and really like your blog!
