Top Ten Books I HAD To Buy...But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread

toptentuesday
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Each week we are invited to post a list on a variety of book –related topics.
I haven’t participated in a while but this week’s topic spoke to me!

I am so guilty of rushing out to get a new release or a book I am dying to read only to have it sit on my shelf. I also pre-order my favourite authors so I have it as soon as it comes out and they sit on my shelf too. Here’s a list of the Top Ten books I couldn’t wait to get my hands on, but haven’t cracked open yet.

  3. Bloodlines by Rachel Mead
  4. Matched/Crossed/Reached by Ally Condie
  5. Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay
  6. Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton
  7. Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
  8. The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
  9. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
  10. The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong

Do we have any in common? Which one should I make a priority to read next?

But before you lose faith in me….I’m going to remedy this! I will read these books this year!-which is why there are 12 listed…one for each month.

So tell me below in the comments-which one should I read first?

Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten Unread Books on my To-Read Shelf.....

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and the Bookish
This week's Top Ten List:

Top Ten Unread Books on your To-Read Shelf

My List:

  1. Where She Went by Gayle Foreman. I bought this book, the day it came out, I couldn't wait for it and yet it sits on my shelf unread. I loved If I Stay so much, I guess I'm worried that I won't feel the same way about Where She Went.
  2. Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and now Inheritance. I had to buy them all, I've heard many people rave, but I I've yet to even read Eragon.
  3. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand.
  4. Looking for Alaska by John Green. This has been on my bookshelf for 3 years.....
  5. London Calling by Edward Bloor- 6 years
  6. Graceling by Kristen Cashore - 4 years
  7. 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson- 2 years
  8. City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare-another one I was desperate for, yet haven't read
  9. Hate List by Jennifer Brown -2 years
  10. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
Here are a couple of pictures of my current to-read shelves-

I am so lucky to have an incredible book collection, but with so many on my to-read shelves, you'd think that would deter me from buying more right?
nope. Because I obviously have a serious problem. But I know you'll understand :)
