Waiting on Wednesday- Possession

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. We post about the books we are anxiously awaiting and can not wait to read.

My pick this week:

Possession

Possession by Elena Johnson
Published by Simon & Schuster June 2011

Summary from Goodreads
Vi knows the Rule: Girls don't walk with boys, and they never even think about kissing them. But no one makes Vi want to break the Rules more than Zenn...and since the Thinkers have chosen him as Vi's future match, how much trouble can one kiss cause? The Thinkers may have brainwashed the rest of the population, but Vi is determined to think for herself.
But the Thinkers are unusually persuasive, and they're set on convincing Vi to become one of them...starting by brainwashing Zenn. Vi can't leave Zenn in the Thinkers' hands, but she's wary of joining the rebellion, especially since that means teaming up with Jag. Jag is egotistical, charismatic, and dangerous--everything Zenn's not.
Vi can't quite trust Jag and can't quite resist him, but she also can't give up on Zenn.
This is a game of control or be controlled. And Vi has no choice but to play.

Besides the fact that the cover is lovely, and it's my favourite genre to read, the summary sounds fantastic!

What are you waiting for?

Covers

I try to never judge a book by its cover, however I find I am attracted to a certain types of covers more than others. I often wonder if the complexity of a cover is an insight into how the publishers feel about the book and how successful they believe it will be?
I'm usually drawn to covers that reflect the contents and emotions of the story. Although if a book has a really great review, I'll read it whether the cover is fabulous or not. These are just a few that I've really liked.
